What changes your circumstances, your present state, and inevitably your future is your atittude and the way you view things. Negative thoughts and deceptive people can cause you to loose focus on what is real. It is sometimes hard to tell which is which, but trying to keep a positive focus and outlook, I believe, will wittle away all the bad thoughts and therefore cause you to distance yourself from bad people and false perception. Only you are in control of your own reality.

Love is an abstract concept that I have yet to realize.
I’ve heard of it…
I’ve been told of it’s beauty…
The thought of it makes me smile…
To me, Love, is like a mysterious, hidden, and rare gem. I hope that one day it will be mine but sometimes I don’t think it exists. I have a love/hate relationship with “l.o.v.e.”. Fairytales are fascinating but not something I want to put my effort into making a reality BUT the prince and the princess, the castle, and it all… it seems like such a nice life;)
Real love, now that’s a concept. The kind of love that makes you cringe to think you are attached to someone who has the capability of ripping your heart out and spitting on it. That’s no fairytale. However, if opening up yourself to someone that much also and more importantly means that they will sacrifice and live for you, than this concept, this thing called Love is something I want to be my own.

In the spirit of Christmas, I’ve found myself focusing more on how I can give to others instead of on what others have taken from me. With the new year approaching I want to forget the bad things and the people that hurt me but I DO NOT want to forget that it is still important to give a piece of myself. It seems simple but is a challenge indeed.
I haven’t yet found the BaLaNcE in what to expect from people while simultaneously not expecting anything from them at all.
I often find myself wanting to retreat from sharing myself with others. I’m trying to remember that although there will be people that push me away and shut me out, there will be others who will appreciate me and if nothing else, for a short time, be a beacon for each other in a changing world.
My constant goal is to spend less time being let down by other’s ill will, bad intentions, and hurtful ways.
*Instead, I want to spend more time helping others and making people smile:) *

Basically, got a job, met new people, made some new friends, met a cute boy or two, cute boy liked friend, heart broken, reminded why I stay to myself, decided not to be an introverted bore and to be me, be more friendly, and love more outspokingly. The mean people can suck it!
